After it's reformation in 1969, the band competed in 4th Section at the Scottish Regional Finals at Arbroath and
were placed 2nd which gained promotion into third section. This was the start of success which saw the band graduate
through the sections to reach Championship Section within three years of joining the Scottish Amateur Band Association.
Although qualification to the National Finals in London was also secured, the band did not compete due to lack of funds.
